Hi! My name is Mallory and I like drawing cool stuff!
When I was 9 years old I took home Cats Don’t Dance on VHS from my local Blockbuster and refused to give it back. Not long after that I ruined a family home movie by drawing on the film inside the tape in an attempt to make my own. I think my child self knew she wanted to be an animator before I even knew what that was. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember.
I grew up in the magical decade of the 90’s; where Balto, Aladdin and any other animated movie I could get my hands on played on repeat all the live long day, everyday. The TV was my domain. If it wasn’t film, it was cartoons – (I cycled through Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and KidsWB exclusively) – and I pretty much rejected any live action growing up.
I was born and raised in New York and earned my BFA in Traditional Animation from The School of Visual Arts in NYC in 2010. I was also awarded the Dusty Award for character design in my graduating class. I then went on to work as a freelancer specializing in 2D character animation in digital media.
In January 2015 I made the big leap to Los Angeles and have had the privilege to work for some amazing studios; my longest stint animating on several shows for Warner Brothers for almost 7 years. I also have 2 years experience supervising and directing 2D animation for Oddbot Inc.
Collectively, I have over 10 years experience in the industry!
Currently, I’m animating on Rick and Morty!
